Guys and Dolls cancelled

Tonight: Friday, March 16, 2007 - 7 p.m. performance

Tomorrow's shows, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. WILL GO ON. No additional show times will be added.

Rest up. Sleep. Pray. Go over your blocking. Make a snow fort. All things happen for a reason.

Mood: Comptine d'une autre ete
Music: Comptine d'une autre ete on exclusive repeat (now up to 118 plays and still holding the lead by a mile)
Thought: Morning prayer is good
Quote du jour: So believe me, my tough friend from Chigaco, there is NOTHING you can do that will not cheer me up!

Another openin' another show

Five days and counting results in obsessive-compulsive piano playing, including the trademark ruination of "Fur Elise" and "Theme from Love Story" along with random mental jazz via the tickled ivories, and the obligatory "And Now What Shall I Do" theme from Bearskin. Better than Louisa May Alcott's emotions pillow is my piano playing.

Put in set yesterday. Still needs some frou-frouing, but overall it was the smoothest put-in yet. Painting sure pays off, even if planning for four central panels does not. Yay for circular saws, that's all I have to say!

In the midst of this hurly burly, upgraded to new phone which plays music but which has abysmally few ringtones. Go figure. Must figure this all out. However, it is nifty to have a little ipodylike devise. Anywho....

Yeah, so jitters, nerves, and obsessive YouTubing, met with buttons falling off, unbeknownst lectoring, random roses, frustration of inaction, and general attack. Booooo! And now schlafen. Oh God - amen!

Mood: Oh for peace
Music: That Narnia song by Imogen Heap
Thought: Well, the weather is absolutely superb.

Twelve Days

And counting....

Coming soon to a local access station near you, parts one, two, and three of Guys and Dolls limited media baby blitz. Voila: part two. And now to catch up on sleep - a dear commodity these next twelve days!

Mood: A tad nervous
Music: Mental gumbo
Thought: I have them. Really I do. They actually are fairly long and mostly coherent. They're about the nature of plays (what else) and I'd love to jot them down. Tonight, however, is not the night to do it!

I'll take it

how jedi are you?
:: by lawrie malen

Now officially thirteen days to show. But who's counting? Looking good thus far - need to tighten some places up. Final tech Saturday tomorrow. Sleep is a perk, not a prerequisite. Working on promo (second half of it). Sightreading for piano improving. Scattered brain. Truly, tonight drained more than it uplifted: numb.

Mood: Meh
Music: None
Thought: What ever happened to real MUSICALS? You know, with character, plot, and songs you could sing along with? Grrrr.
